“As a dog trainer, I am always on the lookout for new fun ways to enrich my little French Bulldog Aspen’s (and client dogs) world.
Did you know there’s science behind why we trainers use licking activities as calming methods for dogs? Well, the research says that licking releases endorphins, serotonin and encourages a calm state of mind.
So, when I stumbled across Creative Pup Co. on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the idea of creating artwork with Aspen that could also encourage calmness and a relaxed state of mind, I knew this was an activity we had to try!
What I didn’t anticipate was how much we both would enjoy painting together. I love creating paint scribbles and finding new delicious licky treats for Aspen, then she enjoys the licking and together we have made some fun colourful paintings which now serve as physical memories of time we spend together.”
